UNICEF workers, a member of the Myanmar Red Cross Society and several other health workers travel by boat to a remote village in Kawhmu Township in the south-western Irrawaddy Division. Olympic Torch arrives in Hong Kong

The Olympic torch has arrived in Hong Kong at the start of its journey through China. It was flown in from Vietnam. The Hong Kong leg of the torch relay will take place on Friday. A marching band and flag-waving children in red and white tracksuits greeted the torch when it arrived at the airport from Vietnam. The torch was carried by Yang Shu'an, an executive vice president of the Beijing Olympics Organizing Committee. Home Affairs Secretary Tsang Tak-sing, Hong Kong Olympic Committee President Timothy Fok, and Liasion office director Gao Ziren held a brief reception at the airport. About 3,000 police will be deployed to guard the torch on Friday during its relay through Hong Kong. The mainland is today staging a series of events to mark the beginning of the final 100 days leading up to the Games. Local radio said.

Burma Cyclone Disaster
A Burmese man tries to rebuild his home which was destroyed by the devastating cyclone Nargis four days ago, on the outskirts of the capital Rangoon, Burma, 08 May 2008. Burmese officials have not yet engaged themselves in further correcting the number of deaths (23,000) and missing people (42,000). Observers, however, assume that a few tens of thousands were killed. About one million people are homeless, 60 per cent of which are women and children. Germany's Relief Coalition 'Aktion Deutschland Hilft' (ADH) reported that 1,000 local helpers are currently on duty in Burma's disaster area. ADH also talked about 80,000 people being placed at 71 refugee camps outside of Rangoon, where they receive clothes, food and medicine. ADH is composed of approximately ten accredited German aid organisations

Parkour spreads in China
Fans of "Parkour", also known as "traceurs" practise moves in Beijing, Jan.4, 2008. Parkour is well-known in Europe, with its roots in France and is often featured in European media. Parkour`s influence in North America has just begun, but it is already spreading. Parkour is an urban sport that involves utilizing efficient but physically challenging movements to pass obstacles in urban landscapes. Such movements are often dangerous, and may involve jumping from structure to structure and scaling walls. Some activities involve jumping down from structures that are over twenty feet in height. Most Parkour practitioners receive injuries in the course of their activities, many are severe. The high risk involved in Parkour could be deadly, but it is a risk that traceurs are willing to take. Now Parkour is popular among young people in Beijing, Shanghai ect. big cities in China.
